There are some critics who would decry the titfight as an aficionado's fight, not something that would appeal to the broader masses. These critics would say that titfighting is too narrow in scope, both in terms of available targets and moves. In the end, they would say that the style does not have what it takes to sustain interest over an extended period of time.

There are others, however, who would say that the opportunity to see beautiful, busty, and topless women batter each other's pride and joy is more than enough to attract an audience.

It is with the latter mentality in mind that the Catfight Resort sponsored its "2004 Girls of Summer Tournament". Celebrating the end of summer in the best possible way, this tournament would feature eight “all-natural” celebrity babes fighting it out to the bitter end for the sheer pleasure of winning a substantial cash prize plus the trophy proclaiming hers the "Best Chest in Hollywood."

All fights would take place on the Catfight Resorts private beach where a ring and bleachers were set up. The contestants would be allowed to use their hands or go tit to tit but they were required to wear opera gloves to take their fingernails out of play. There would be no submissions as all fights would end only when one lady breast smothered the other.

A week before the event, the eight contestants gathered for a photo-op that featured them all in fight attire. Though they were all smiles on the outside world, privately all hell was waiting to break loose. Many had already fostered grudges with others, long simmering and in dire need of settling. Some had lost a fight by, as they saw it, far too narrow a margin and were eager to rectify matters. Others had won very comfortably and were eager to reinforce their dominance. The setting didn't help either, as each lovely lady balked at the mere suggestion that her 'pride and joys' might be inferior to anyone else's. On the surface, however, everything was fine and dandy with all the girls saying how much they looked forward to the "spirited, healthy competition."

Each contestant had already won a qualifying match to earn her place in the tournament.

Petra Verkaik smiled for the cameras, wearing a black bikini and gloves. A stalwart Playboy veteran, she had defeated porn star Danni Ashe at the Porn Star Fight Club to qualify. Danni had put up valiant resistance, but had been decimated breast to breast by her foe.

Jeri Ryan looked stunning in a red bikini and opera gloves. No stranger to fighting, Jeri's road to the tournament had gone through (and over) former Miss America Ali Landry in an FCBA PPV special event. Landry faded late, thanks to Jeri's frequent crushing bearhug, at which point resistance was indeed futile.

Laetitia Casta was calm and collected in a pink ensemble. Frequently fighting others on the model circuit, Laetitia defeated 'top rival' Heidi Klum at a Fashion Show in Milan, Italy to earn her way to the final. Heidi's breasts had been like a magnet for Laetitia's fists, taking punches until Heidi could take no more.

Kelly Brook looked sexy in a white bikini and gloves. A fresh face in celebrity fighting, Kelly 'topped' up-and-coming British star Lucy Pinder between halves of a soccer match in London's Wembley Stadium. Kelly's skill was more than enough to overcome Lucy's size advantage as Lucy's impressive breasts proved no match for Kelly's.

Catherine “Cat” Bell was drop dead gorgeous in a lime green bikini and gloves. She had beaten Katherine Heigl in a battle of youth versus experience in a luxury hotel penthouse suite in front of Katherine's good friend (and Catherine's nemesis) Charlize Theron and a group of movie executives at the 'after party' of a movie premiere. In the end, Cat had outfought Katherine, then mauled her breasts until she'd forced a tearful submission.

Nikki Cox showed herself off in a blue bikini and gloves. Her qualifying victory had been over Charisma Carpenter whom she beat on the set of Nikki's TV show "Las Vegas." Back in action after a brief layoff, Charisma regrettably found herself outmatched against Nikki who showed her no mercy and quite literally 'wrung' a victory from Charisma.

Tyra Banks exuded sex appeal in a leopard print bikini and gloves. Tyra had defeated Jennifer Connelly in an epic match held in front of a private party in Seattle's Space Needle revolving restaurant after a gourmet dinner. Jennifer had no answer to Tyra's expertise with her fingers and her tits were 'udderly' demolished in the fight that ended before one revolution of the restaurant.

Monica Bellucci was the essence of beauty as she wore a purple bikini and gloves. The final contestant, Monica defeated Denise Richards in an epic struggle in the ring at Madison Square Garden before a sold out crowd. Their battle was the main event on a card that raised several million dollars for breast cancer research with ten 'boob battles' involving Broadway, television and musical artists putting themselves 'up front for charity.' In the end, Monica's breasts proved themselves against Denise; forcing her over-matched pair to submit in a very public humiliation.

Along with the eight contestants were the two referees charged with maintaining order during the tournament. Salma Hayek and Jennifer Love Hewitt smiled as they posed with the contestants; each looking no less beautiful than the others. Salma and Jennifer each wore black and white striped bikinis, reflecting their status and both women brought their own vast experience to the job as the two petite women were both veterans of many boob battles themselves.

All of the ladies were looking forward to doing battle soon. Each was determined to crush her rivals and claw her way to the top. Each and every one was resolved to prove that she had the best chest in the business.
