A Stack of Ramblings This is basically the ego section - my overly verbose scribblings on everything from web-site design to character pairings, and all things in between. I wouldn't go so far as to call them 'articles' - though I have seen sites that do - since it seems to me that they're neither academic enough nor objective enough to be so. Anyway, since you're here I assume you're interested - at least marginally. So here I present the various things I've written, that you may or may not agree with - and feel free to post replies on the Message Board if you feel strongly enough about something! Art Theft People who steal art and display it without the artist's permission, giving no credit or worse - taking credit for themselves! Hate 'em... Mary Sue's Mary Sue's. The bane of a reader's life... Optimising for Visitors A peeve of mine - why do people optimise their site for one particular browser/resolution? It's so irritating. Plagiarising Stealing written work - DO NOT DO IT. Right Clicks I know people hate them, but there's a reason we have them... Aliens and Natives And why, oh why, do people assume that Saiyajins - an intensely alien being - would or should be like human males? Who are we to judge another's culture and practices? Cliches and Crossovers In response to a topic on Saiyanslash, quite a while ago now; does the employment of clichés in the fandom and in fanfics detract from the quality of that fic? I feel not... Criticisms Good, bad, unnecessary? What is it with feedback that authors seem to alternately crave and reject? OOC v IC A discussion of the two categories; Out of Character and In Character. Also sparked by a discussion on SSML US English vs. UK English I am, as is probably blatantly obvious, English. I therefore write using UK English. As far as I know this has not caused any real problems with the majority of my readers. But some seem to believe that my writing is wrong, because it is not written in American English. This is my response. Vegeta x Radditz? This was in response to a topic suggestion on the saiyajin_secrets Mailing list, that basically asked whether you felt the Vegeta/Radditz pairing would work, and compared it to the Vegeta/Goku pairing. I've elaborated on it since, as new angles occured to me.
