Porn for women, what'll they think of next? There's a great
deal of discussion going on amongst adult webmasters
about what women want in porn. Site owners are
experimenting, throwing in a stiff dick here, an erotic story
there, trying to find what magic formula awakens the
she-devil.
Women are just as likely as men to become smut junkies — a habit as potent as heroin addiction — and it's causing many to download themselves out of house and home, researchers say.
Lori, a 37-year-old housewife from Staten Island who declined to give her last name, says her addiction began two years ago with Internet porn sites, but soon escalated to include cybersex with men she met in chat rooms.
"After my husband and kids were asleep, I'd go online for hours," she said. But one night, her husband woke up and caught her in flagrante e-licto. "He was furious. He couldn't understand why I needed to do it," she said.
Nor could Lori, who has since entered an Alcoholics Anonymous-type 12-step program and sought counseling with her husband.
Denise's addiction had more dire consequences.
The 31-year-old Manhattan secretary, who also declined to give her last name, said she used to spend up to three hours a day surfing porn sites at work.
Then one day her boss caught her red-handed — and red-faced. "He fired me on the spot for wasting company time. Until then, I didn't realize I had a problem," she said.
"The old school of thought was that women couldn't become porn addicts, just like they couldn't become alcoholics," said "Virtual Addiction" author Dr. David Greenfield, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Connecticut.
But according to Nielsen//NetRatings, 28 percent of all Americans who visited porn sites last month were women. "We're now seeing widespread abuse of porn by women, which can lead to job loss or the breakup of their primary relationship," Greenfield said.
New York has its share of ladies clicking for a fix.
Manhattan psychotherapist Gail Appel said that four years ago, none of her female patients were Internet-porn junkies. Today they make up at least 5 percent of her practice.
Female porn addicts are typically in their late 20s to 30s — married or single, straight or gay — who spend six hours or more a day online, Appel told The Post.
"But most don't get help until their lives are in shambles. There's so much shame that they deny anything's wrong for as long as possible," said Puja Hall, a Manhattan social worker specializing in sexual addiction. Hall says she's "shocked at the number of female porn addicts" she sees these days.

Do Women Really Like Porn?
Do Women really like porn? Well the increasing numbers coming to my pay site for couples tells me that they do! Hi I am Susanna, Webmistress of Couples-Sex.Com . I am a relative newcomer to the adult scene yet I have been engrossed in the “for women” side of porn for quite some time, initially for my personal interest *count me in as a woman who likes porn!!
I have surfed for erotica online with partners and have always found that the “good stuff” was always so hard to find. There were photographers like Suze Randall that could capture the beauty of the models and even make artwork of the surroundings that the pictures were taken in, even if it was a bedroom. Then there are photographers who can capture romance, fantasy and my favorite, “Passion!!” Its out there but you have to wade through a lot of erotica to find it.
A few years back when I came onto the net I was fascinated with how much sensuality there was. I found that I was able to experience a new sensuality that would be hard to find in my daily living. I found an erotic playground!
I ventured into a few pay sites, and they had great quality pictures and videos and articles but the focus always remained on the woman, the pussy, the titties !! Increasingly I found that I was becoming annoyed with having to imagine what the man’s head looked like! I had a growing “sense” for the kind of pictures I liked. These pictures always had male heads, often showed passion on male faces or in body posture. The pictures showed fantasy scenes and romance. The common theme to what I enjoyed was erotica that was “real, not posed” and “couples”. This is how I got interested in making a site for couples.
My site is always evolving, and always fun and challenging. But one thing will always hold true, it will be a place that is “comfortable for men and women”. In other words, you will not come inside the door after promises of couples porn and find that the “nude women” or “nude men” far outnumber each other. I am lucky with this site, I can venture into all areas of porn that are entertaining and appealing and of course legal. On my site I have some nylon fetish, foot fetish, light BDSM and even some dressup fantasy series. You will see anal, oral, threesome, groups etc.
There are many areas to Couples Sex beyond just pictures too, they all have the focus of entertainment, education, foreplay and fun. It would be the greatest compliment to know that many couples will use my site for foreplay! It would also be a compliment to know that my site keeps couples together, and is a relationship friendly place on the net.
Now there is a great point!! A lot of very sexual and sensual women may not consider looking for porn on the net because they have sensed that this “porn their husband looks at” is not bringing them closer together in their own relationship. Maybe these same women have joined some of the for women sites themselves and have kept it a secret from their husbands. My personal feeling has always been that women/couples would find their way to the doorstep of a great site that does nothing but build their present relationships, or even help them find new ones.
"...pornography allows for experimentation and breaks
orthodox standards of sexuality.
The idea of lying in the missionary position while counting the
stars is flouted, and instead the enjoyment
of sex is encouraged. Restricting pornography limits the
choices that a woman has and invokes the repression
of Victorian times."

Libida.com is a kind of erotic books and products store crossed
with Playgirl's Home Journal . Here's what the warning page
blurb says: "Libida's sole purpose is to increase women's
pleasure and sexual knowledge. In fact, we have so much to
offer that you need to be at least 21 years of age in order to
visit us. We sell sex toys, display erotic art and literature, and
provide a plethora of sexual information meant for mature
adults only." but it looks the way I would've thought a porn
site for women should look! For an insight into my stodgy little
soul, check it out.
